Time for Literacy Tutor Training Manual

One of the key resources provided by the CLC is the manual Time for Literacy Tutor Training Handbook

It focuses on these literacy principles:
1) Tutors can make a difference in the life of an individual child.
2) Tutors can support student reading at four levels: reading aloud, shared reading, guided reading, and independent reading. Our goal is to get the child to the independent reading level.
3) Reading and writing are connected. Writing has similar levels of support.
4) Active learning is fun and effective.
